Mike Trenton, along with his wife Kathy, is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of Southpointe Christian Center.  Prior to full time ministry, Pastor Mike worked in the public school system for nineteen years.  He served as a middle school teacher, coach, vice principal, principal and assistant superintendent.  Mike received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California.  He also earned his Master of Science degree in education from California State University, Fullerton.

Mike left public school education and entered full time ministry in 1992.  Mike is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and has been serving at Southpointe Christian Center since August of 2006.  Prior to coming to Southpointe, he served as the Marriage and Family Pastor for eight and a half years at Calvary Temple Modesto, California, as well as five years as Associate Pastor at Paradise First Assembly of God in Paradise, California.  His goal is to point people to the Cross with an anointed message of hope and understanding for those struggling with the disappointments and heartaches of life.  Pastor Mike’s sense of humor and transparent style of ministry makes him an effective communicator for all ages.

Mike and his wife Kathy have been married thirty-five years.  Their daughter Leslie graduated from Vanguard University in 2002, with her Bachelor of Arts degree and her elementary teaching credential with the state of California.  She and her husband Bryce, along with their baby boy Caden currently live in Ladera Ranch, California. Their son Scott is a graduate of Northwest University in  Kirkland, Washington, with a degree in business management.

Pastor Mike’s hobbies include racquetball, officiating high school football and basketball, walks with his wife and playing with his grandson.
