My name is David Balaba, and I am the Children’s Ministry Sound and Media overseer, here at Southpointe Christian Center.
I am 25 years old, and I am married with my first daughter, and a son. I’ve attended Southpointe for almost 16 years, and was saved in 1999, at a Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames Production. Nearly a year later I was baptized by immersion of water by my senior pastor at the time, and my dad in 2000, with my sister, Stephanie. Who is also married and expecting their first child. They are serving at their own home church, in the Children’s Ministry Department.
Along with my parents, I’ve assisted them with the outreach project called ‘Super Saturday’, that has been in the works for nearly 13 years. In many of the Southpointe outreaches and programs, I’ve always helped out with the sound and media departments. I am currently in the process of becoming a member with the Music Ministry Department here, at Southpointe Christian Center.
Growing up, I was always outdoors. Playing some kind of sport coached by my dad, or fishing with him. I played for many years, little league baseball at Airport Little League. In my teenage years, I began working with the Department of Fishing Game- Fishing in the City. A program that goes to different parks teaching kids how to fish. I also love spending time with my family, and trying to be a Godly example.
